ACWEB supports sustainable agriculture with innovative solutions that integrate waste management and resource recovery across production chains in a circular economy approach.
Agriculture is a key pillar that supports Australian society, but one that comes with a large environmental footprint. In Australia, agriculture accounts for approximately 55% of land use, 74% of water consumption and up to 17% of GHG emissions1, while also generating almost 50 Million tons of organic waste per year2.
We develop, optimize and apply technologies to recover renewable energy, generate renewable fertilizers (which can be formulated for either specific or general applications), improve soil health and produce sustainable new feeds for livestock and aquaculture. At the same time, we are able to reduce GHG emissions and other environmental impacts from waste.
To ensure our solutions are safe, effective and practical, ACWEB works together with many stakeholders including producers, processers, industry and regulators to conduct extensive testing at scale and under real world conditions.
