10th IWA Microbial Ecology and Water Engineering Specialist Conference

We enthusiastically welcome the MEWE23 conference to Brisbane, Australia.

Our desire to develop novel approaches to better engineer biological processes in the urban water cycle based on our knowledge of the underlying microbial ecology is fully consistent with the philosophy promoted by the MEWE group, and provides the basis for the comprehensive program of this specialist conference.

There is a strong and growing interest among universities, research institutes, water industry and health related stakeholders in microbial ecology, which is now widely regarded as a more powerful tool to optimize our water engineering ecosystems. MEWE23 will cover a wide range of recent research on microbial diversity and their function in water engineering systems.

We look forward to welcoming you in September 2023 to Brisbane for the 10th IWA MEWE Specialist Conference, for knowledge exchange and networking.
