Pengbo joined the University of Queensland (UQ) as a Master student in 2016. After graduating with a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from China Agricultural University (CAU), Pengbo changed his major to Food Science and Technology when he moved to UQ. He has gained extensive experience in new product development since appointed as Research Assistant by Prof. Melissa Fitzgerald in the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences (SAFS) at UQ. He had worked with indigenous businesses, small entrepreneur entities and well-known global enterprises in the food industry during his stay at SAFS. He also worked as casual academic staff participating in teaching activities at SAFS. He commenced his PhD with ARG Group in 2018.
